New Progio Mobile Trainer
Program Lets Health Clubs Expand Training Services
for Members
LOS ALTOS, Calif. – June 13, 2006
– Companion Worlds, Inc., maker of Progio (www.progio.com),
and Personal Training on the Net (www.ptonthenet.com),
the largest personal training online education
portal, have joined forces to help health clubs
expand training services for its members through the
new Progio Mobile Trainer program. This program
gives club members access to multimedia exercise
programs on a mobile digital device they can use
while working out. The workout programs are designed
using PTontheNet’s comprehensive online exercise and
flexibility library.
Progio is training software on a mobile digital
device that presents full workouts in an
interactive, motivational and unconstrained format
with timers and multimedia instructions, including
photos and video that demonstrate the ideal body
position and cadence for each exercise. The software
is as easy to use as a digital music player, and it
seamlessly turns a mobile digital device into a
workout companion.
PTontheNet is an online fitness education resource
that includes an extensive exercise and flexibility
library that trainers can use to create multimedia
exercise programs.
Here’s how it works: Clubs purchase a fully
configured Progio device from Companion Worlds. The
device comes preloaded with a portfolio of workouts
and training programs from the PTontheNet library
developed by leading trainers such as Lisa Engles,
Michael George, Dave Scott, and Michael Tenerowicz.
Created for all exercisers, from beginners to elite
athletes, these pre-made programs include general
fitness, strength training and weight loss, along
with specific strength programs for sports such as
basketball, football, golf and soccer. Clubs and
trainers also can create additional workout programs
using the integration between Progio and
PTontheNet.com, so members have a wide assortment of
club- specific workout programs for their exercise
sessions. Members then use the Progio device at the
club, giving them a full set of workouts complete
with video.
Pricing
Compatible mobile devices cost approximately $299 to
$399, and the Progio Starter Kit, which includes the
base workout library license for one year, is $1,095
per device. Clubs can set their own usage charges
for club members.
